James E was born in Kingston, Jamaica and lived his early part of his life Waltham Park Road. James E attended Kingston College and was very active sports wise where he represented his school playing Manning Cup which is a Soccer League in Jamaica.
After leaving school James E met the Mix Master Ian who was the Dj at the Rock Club in Kingston through a mutual friend Marlon Black, who was the son of the owner of the club. This is where the music interest kicked in and started to acquire his skills hence he and Ian eventually became the dynamic duo. Around this time he met up with Master Mixer Ian from the Road Star Disco to where they started to make cassettes daily. It was a challenge as back then these cassettes were being made with a belt drive turntables. But the love of music never saw it as a negative.
James E migrated to Miami, Florida in 1989. He started to play music at Sound Wave record shop selling records to customers. This location was where met Mel from Tidal Wave and this link was made and still remains to this day
James E has been in the spotlight representing Tidal Wave in playing the Miami Carnival, Key West Fantasy Fest as well as many other functions. He had also started to play another sound called CMD for a couple of years as Tidal wave was going through a transition.
You can find James E staging his craft presently on Jus Muzic each and every Thursdays from 9pm to 12amd on his show called “Idlers Rest”.
